I also think it takes away from the beauty of the star. I would use something more solid around the star & then sneak the bubble fabric in elsewhere. I just think it is to busy to be next to the star.

It gets my vote for liking it too! It's young and enthusiastic! I think it would also be pretty with the beige you originally asked about. Like someone else said, you could always use this in a border if you're unsure.

I'm no designer but...I love the star and all the hard work you've put into that lovely design. I love the colors of the star. Absolutely excellent piecing! I am not smitten with the print. I like a contrast, something to really frame it. There's too much white out there at the end; how about some of the turquoise solid?

I like what you have done so far. The center of the quilt still stands out. And the corner peices you used has some of the color's of the star also. Just jokeing, but put me on the list as to who you'll pass it on too.-Ha-ha).
