This is my thoughts on buying fabrics....I hope to retire in 6-1/2 years. If I stockpile fabric now then I won't have to buy then. I can be happy and quilt. Some reason, I don't think this will work.

When fabric is on sale at an excellent price, you are not spending, you are saving. Go for it and enjoy. Don't guilt yourself into thinking you shouldn't have done it.

I can sooooo relate. I had declared a moratorium, but then the sale ad came through. Such good bargains and I discovered that I needed two quilt backs. So, I saved a lot, but spent a lot (for me). Now, I discovered that I have nearly used the 3 yards of MM black and they had a sale on that just last week, but I have been steadfast--this time!
So much temptation, so many projects, so little time. All the comments made me smile.

Warning: If you are trying not to buy don't read this.

If you are totally beyond hope, Connecting Threads is having a sale.

I have decided NOT to feel guilty about taking advantage of sales. With fabrics prices up to $12/yd - or more - nowadays, it is really stupid not to buy fabric at half that price. See, we are VERY smart women!!
