Quilting designs for kaleidoscope block quilt
#1
I was just wondering if anyone on the board could post pics of the quilting designs they used for quilts made up of kaleidoscope blocks.
I'm having trouble envisioning how I want to do mine.
I'm going for a scrappy look, and would consider this fairly traditional. I might resort to just shadowing the pieces, but I'd like to see anything you all might have to share.
Thanks in advance!

OK, I thought kaleidoscope and hexagon (one block wonder) were interchangable. Sounds like kaleidoscope has 8 sides.
I see now that you're looking for quilting ideas. I haven't finished my hexagon quilt and have not thought about how to quilt it other than stippling. Sorry I'm no help to you.

Heres a link for a "famous" one that I saw on Fons and Porter episode. It inspired me to buy the ruler, but i have so much going on, I lost interest for now.....

I've only done one. It an 'organized' scrappy in batiks that my daughter picked out. Never having done one before, I did not realize how important the light/dark contrast was. When I matched up the fabrics in pairs of light/dark, I only considered their relationship to each other, not to the whole collection of fabrics. As a result the circles did not appear as dramatic as they should have. We also felt this large a quilt needed a place for the eyes to rest, so we did the semi-solid strips to break it up some. She likes the result and that's really what is important. Good luck. I would do this pattern again.
