You sound like you have a lot of fun together. Your idea certainly works for me!

One year I got a gun for my birthday, another a welder.... I just refused to let hubby use them. Never thought about turning the tables.... I like that idea better

What are his hobbies? I would start with finding a good fabric that deals with his hobby or favorite team, etc and then build the quilt around that. Have fun!!

I love this! You two have a fabulous sense of humor!

My DH and I have always taken the approach that it's up to our children to celebrate us on Mother's/Father's day. By and large, this has failed. (Without parental leadership, how does a child know what to do?)

Even though we've been married almost 38 years, I just might try to start this tradition with my DH. (Too bad Mother's Day has passed.) I think he'll appreciate the humor as much as I do!

Thanks for a GREAT idea!

I love it! One year for Christmas my sister got a road atlas, so I've encouraged her to do the same sort of thing for my dear BIL! LOL

Oh, and my Dad's name is Jacob- so I'd go with a Jaocob's Ladder. My Brother is a Jacob, and so is his son- so when my nephew was born I made him a Jacob's Ladder baby quilt. That was 15 years ago now-back when I had no kids of my own and actually had time to hand quilt. How time flies!!
