It depends on the occasion.

For a new baby or for a sick friend needing a pick me up, I use a D9P or a Warm Wishes. Both are extremely simple and can become complex based on fabric placement.

Weddings are always Lover's Knots

I like samplers as well, depending on the recipient. I like to make dresden plates as well, appliqued on by hand in front of the tv.
