Bonnie Hunter recently visited a LQS. She was so warm and friendly and her quilts were absolutely gorgeous. Seeing her quilts in person you see a level of detail that you can't see in a picture. She has a sense about putting together her scrappy quilts that I am in awe of.
I also had the pleasure of attending a trunk show of Edyta Sitar's this summer. Her quilts were amazing and I loved hearing her talk about the process of designing fabrics, creating patterns, making quilts, publishing books, etc. She was a real inspiration.

Sadly, my idiot cable company has no quilt shows. Before I began quilting I ran across several cable quilt shows; now there are none. Many years ago, though, I watched Nancy on our PBS channel, I think, and was always impressed by her knowledge, skill, and ability to impart information. I've seen a few Fons and Porters shows but before I knew enough about what they were doing. I do love the Youtube Jenny Doan programs. She's the most unassuming, cheerful, and personable tv quiltmaker I've ever seen on tv. Wish my cable carried her show.

Also many years ago on the local PBS there was Quilting the Heartland and the woman's name was Shar or something like that. Seems like she was from Wisconsin or Michigan. Don't remember but she was a little different in her presentations and I learned from her as well.

I have found reruns of Simply Quilts on HGTV.com, I have a subscription to The Quilt Show on the Internet with Alex Anderson & Ricky Tims. Great show and many extras on the site worth every penny, but you have access to many things without paying anything. Love it and all the others mentioned as well.

I think we will be hearing a lot more from/about Jenny Doan. I was fortunate to have visited her shop and we got a private demo from her. She is easy to speak with and she seems very comfortable in this quilting environment.
