Actually, I bought my first one b/c of all the hoopla here and on pattern review. Even folks with TOL Berninas have and use and love FWs. Plus they are cute. So I got one, then another, then a Centennial. So I have 3 of the same machine. Insane. But I love them. And my boys can each have one when I die, with one to spare. Watch out, one goes quickly from "what's all the fuss about" to trying to figure out where to put them all.

I've sewn on the Singer machines and have to say I don't see the attraction. I think it is a case of each to his own.
