It depends. I just purchased a 222 from Great Britain, but the seller has someone over there that can rework the motors to operate on our 110 V service. Also, machines that were made for export to Canada and Australia came with 110 volt motors, or had them added when they arrived. I have another 222 that came with a 110 volt motor. It was sold here in Canada originally.
The reason the little freearms aren't so plenty in the United States is because at the time they were being produced, the zigzag came into being and was the hot item. A little Feathweight with a freearm, at the price they were selling just wasn't as appealing and wasn't marketed in the States. It's a lot easier to find them up here in Canada. And they're terrific for doll clothing, kids clothing and mending in awkward places...I really like mine.

I have an 221 which I use alot. Like to hear the hum of it. I saw one on Craigslist the other day they were asking $900 for it, I sure wouldn't pay that much for one. I paid $250. for mine.

Actually, the 66 is not a 3/4 machine...it is a full size machine. The 99 is the 3/4 size of the 66.

I just got my very first FW, black, 1957, from an antique mall here in town, and paid $250. She's in pretty good condition, the case is real good, it has the tray and some bobbins, but no extra attachments. I looked online for a few months and had decided not to get one. Then I found her....walked away, came back, walked away....then I couldn't stand to leave her, so went and picked her up. :-)

They all have boxes (in used condition), too, and I just don't have enough room to store them all. Probably will offer two of them for reasonable amounts to board members in the not too distant future.

Your machine was approved to be built in Elizabeth, New Jersey on September 7, 1957. Only 50,000 were to be built.

I had a 1957 FW that cost $125.00 new at that time with attachments including a buttonholer. My DH gave it away without my knowledge because he didn't think I was using it anymore. It has cost him plenty. I bought 1951 for $300.00. Plus other brands of machines. Needless to say he doesn't even look in the sewing room anymore.
