Correct. The 99K is a very good machine, and it was sweet of him to think of you, but it is definitely NOT a featherweight.

Thanks, I don't think I will convince him that he does not have a Featherweight.

The Featherweight weighs in at about 11.2 pounds. It has a "table" that folds down from the machine to form part of the bed. It's tiny, like the 99, but the 99 outweighs the Featherweight by a BUNCH!

Oh...and I'd take that 99 over any high tech machine out there! ;) For ANY kind of stitching...there are attachments available that will let you do about anything you want with a straight stitch machine.

$250 is HIGH. If you want a 99, keep looking.

They're right, $250 is very, very high for a 99. You could probably find one more in the $50 range.

Thanks--I know it is high and I really don't want or need another sewing machine but he thinks it is a Featherweight and that he can get that much for a Featherweight. Either that or he thinks his mother-in-law (me) would pay that kind of money to him--LOL

It sounds like maybe he "got took" and doesn't want to admit it.
