I have a new home that i use quite a bit, a janome in a different room and 2 sergers for "other" sewing and i'm waiting for my new singer. Do you think i need a support group???
No, just a large bank account for all the extras :!: :!: :!: :!:

From the oldest to the youngest?

1880 Wheeler & Wilson #8
1900 Wheeler & Wilson D-9 (which I gave to Billy, just have to get it to him!)
1912 Singer 9W
(2) 1920's Damascus
1951 Centenial Singer 201-2
1950's-60's Remington
1960's (?) Kenmore 185.840
1979 Kenmore (my mom's machine)
1990 Brother
Unknown Modern Singer
Janome 8077
Huskylock Serger

Just 13 for me...or 12 if you consider one is Billy's that I just haven't gotten to him yet! :)

I *really* want a Featherweight, and the one I want is my mother's...but my sister has it and doesn't seem willing to give it up! :(

Well I really think i should join the help line for sewing machine addicts.
I have
2 singers 1950s
1 kenmore sewing machine
2 babylock embroidery machines
2 babylock sergers
1 singer serger
1 babylock quilters choice
1 babylock jewel long arm quilting machine
and going tommorrow to pick up my new babylock syphony.
You think I might need help!!!
Actually I use them all and love everyone of them!
If they would just stop adding new stuff to these machines I wouldn't be so tempted! lol

Like you I have 5 machines. My oldest is a 1905 Singer. It sews beautifully! I use if from time to time and is great when we have a power outage. I can keep on sewing and not be concerned about the things my husband frets about like no tv. My next machine is a 1935 White. It too sews beautifully. It is an early electric machine with a nice quiet motor. I don't use it but rarely only because I think it is fragile in the tension. My most used machine in the Janome that I bought about 20 years ago. I love it and is is a faithful servant. I have a Janome serger. It is a power horse! I also have 2 embroidery machines. One I have always ready to go if I want to take a sewing machine with me and the other one is a newer machine that My BIL got me as a trade for a quilt I made that he wanted. He was taken with the purples in the card trick pattern. It wasn't even a well made quilt. I was practicing stippling and it had a whole bunch of jagged line edges, not smooth at all. But I am pleased with the new sewing machine. You are right though we can only use one at a time.

I have 2 hand cranks, 3 treadles, a serger, a mid-arm, an embroidery machine, & enough Singers, Atlas, White, & Kenmores to make up 21. I seriously need to sell some, don't you think?

Ok, Here goes the list:
1.Singer Stylist purchased by my hubby in the late 60's
2.Singer 6268 sewing /embroidery-early 80's
3.Singer Serger 14U64-mid 80's
4.Singer Classroom model- mid 90's
5.Singer 500 A Rocket-dear friends estate late 90's'
6.Viking DSE -Jan 11,2006 First purchase as an employee
7. Viking Huskylock 936- 2006
8. Viking Sapphire 850 -2007
9. Janome Platinum 720 -for classes.2008
10. Viking Diamond - one year ago
11. Pfaff Expressions 4.0 2 months ago.
12. Singer 66 Red Eye treadle head Billy is cleaning it up.

Oh , I have 3 more than what I thought I had. My poor hubby keeps on telling me I have to stop and I really do try--but--somehow or other I get talked into buying another machine. I have 2 of them at my sister's home so that I can play when I get there-so they don't count- do they?? I just turned 70 last month and I decided that after all these years I can do what I like to do- whenever I want to-as long as it doesn't hurt anyone -so there ! Did I convince anyone??
