What type of quilting are you going to do? Or will you send it out?
I'll send it out. For me to hand quilt, takes FOREVER and 3 days!!! My son's wedding will be sometime next summer, so I do have time, and I'd LOVE to hand quilt it for them. Just not sure I can get it done within a reasonable time frame. Plus, I NEVER know what to do for the quilting.

If it were me, because I like a little bit of pizzaz, I would use the reddish or yellowish for my drop..but that's just me :)

    It looks beautiful, btw!

I like pizzazz, too. I've tried the yellow, it doesn't do a thing for it. The rusty-red might. Thanks :)

I think it is a calm and cozy quilt. My personal thought is to not liven it up. It is very classic.

Maybe put something funky and fun for the backing that would refect something about your DIL. Wouldn't that be fun!
    peace :D

Good idea. I like to do something unexpected for the backing fabrics :)

I really like it just the way it is. I'm not too sold on "drops", to me that limits the use of the quilt. Let's say they want to throw it in the car for a trip or cuddle on the couch, etc.

True. It is limiting in that way. She may not want to use it as I intend. It could be just a throw on the back of the bed. Something to think about. Thanks.

Looks great to me. If you need more length and width, then maybe add another border. Otherwise, it's great as it is.
