She will live in your heart surrounding you with her love every day of your life. I am now reaching the age where I pray I do not burden my family and they can remember me with the love you have shown. Thank you for sharing your very personal story.

Your Mother blessed you with wonderful memories of her entire life. However, you have the best memory of all becasue you shared you desire with your mother's passion of making her a quilt. I'm sure the feelings she expressed upon receiving her quilt was daja voir to her. The reaction she had must have been like the ones she witnessed when others recieved her quilts. You gave her a gift that no one else had ever given her. Because of this you have the most precious memories of all.

I was the main caregiver for my Sweet MIL.. She treated me as a daughter the 40+ years I knew her. I loved her so much and just lost her less than a month ago. It's still very hard, but like you I have wonderful memeories of the times and adventures we had.

This is a wonderful story and one you must share with your children. My Mom's been gone 2 yrs, she was 88, and I miss her every day. She quilted also and when I retired I began to quilt and it just pleased her to no end. I have 6 of her quilts that I have to finish. One day several years ago, she said if I don't finish some of my quilts will you finish them for me and of course, I said yes. When I work on them, I feel her right next to me and I can smell her. That may seem strange but true. Enjoy your quilting as your children may some day appreciate what you've done as well.
