FMQ Gloves

I, too, use the machingers...WHAT a difference :) :).
As for exfoliating gloves, I'd think W-Mart should have this in their health and beauty section, if not, try Bath and Body type store--they might be a little more pricey.

Good luck with that gorgeous quilt weezie! I can't wait to see it! I also started using the machiners gloves about a year ago and I LOVE THEM! I can pick up threads with them on they are so light and thin. I usually can't do anything with gloves on, so I had shied away from buying them..but one try and I'm hooked!
I ordered mine here http://www.jhittlesewing.com/visitor/index_jhs.html Well...I order lots of stuff here...great prices on everything!

I use gloves as well. I don't know what they're called, but they are knit on the top and latex on the bottom. They are sold in our shop, and labled as quilting gloves, but I originally got them at the local plant shop. They are lightweight - not those heavily coated ones. I do a lot of machine quilting, and I've found as long as they are snug - don't slosh around on your hand - you will have the control you need.

Got my cheap quilting gloves at the dollar store. They work as well at the ones offered by Fons and Porter and seem to be wearing better as the F&P ones are of thin knit and now have holes. I think the important thing are the nubbies on the palm and fingers.

I too have the Machingers. I had tried the Fons and Porter gloves after getting a cheap pair at W/M. My problem is my hands/fingers are so small that it doesn't matter if they say small or not. I would still have to fight the gloves.
With the Machingers, I still have a little bit of play in them, but not as much as the other gloves. They're the best IMO!
