I've got one of those too! In addition, there is a gremlin that periodically appears in my sewing room and moves things out of sight even when I'm using them.

Totally understand. Listen to this one. I was shopping yesterday and was ready to leave and couldn't find my keys. Car is a keyless entry and start but still have to have the key within the vehicle. Anyway I dumped out my purse, looked under seats, in pockets and around the car. Guess where they were - IN MY HAND. Geeeeeeez!

I have learned to place my wastebaskets under the tables far enough back so anything that falls from the table will hit the floor, not the wastebasket. Of course this will not help if I throw something into the wastebasket.

I have a bad habit of putting things in places I won't forget. Once I bought a CD as a gift for my DH and put it in a "safe" place. When the time came to present the gift to him, I couldn't find it! Eventually I came across it stored "safely" between fat quarters! We had a good laugh over it.

I'm forever dropping my tape measures in there for some reason. I have to fish them out all the time.

I seem to drop things a lot lately, but the items always seem to bounce somewhere I either can't see them or reach them! Frustrating!

Your gremlin has a cousin in my house. I never feed him but he still messes with me.

When I'm quilting, the quilt I'm working on will "pick up" loose things like gloves (if I'm not wearing them), my seam ripper and scraps on the table. As I turn the quilt, it pulls those things along and sweeps them onto the floor. Sometimes the garbage can is there. I have to actually look at what's in there, from time to time.
