ube quilting--Go to www.pinterest.com and search French rose quilt. There are plenty completed quilts to see. There are pictures of the patterns pieces--you could make a pattern from the pictures. The rows of the flower doesn't have to be exact. When I swapped blocks on QIAD, everyone's rose wasn't exactly the same My quilt is beautiful.

Whenever you want to see an image, Google.com is a good way also. Input the question like "French Rose", click to search and then choose "Images" from the list of choices. I am always amazed at what pops up.

I have to say I have never seen this pattern before....but if I were to do it, I think I would do from bottom up, trimming as I go, to eliminate bulk, then applique to background, then again trim background out too...hmm, maybe that's the actual instructions? Don't know, as this one is a first for me!

I saw a French Rose Quilt completed at a local quilt show and they used fleece between each layer. They cut the rose layer and a matching layer of fleece and it was magical! Each rose layer popped! The layers were sewn to a background, batting added with a backing and quilted When completed the roses looked beautiful.
