    I agree with this.

    My friend Cindi has a very specific routine she follows for when she makes t-shirt quilts. Her recommendations to me: First of all, do not use fabric softener. It can prevent your interfacing from adhering well. Secondly, use a piece of scrap fabric, dampened with water, between your iron and the interfacing. Press, do not iron. When the dampness is gone from the scrap fabric, the interfacing will have adhered to the fabric and you can move to the next section.
