I have had the B & D for several years & I would not hesitate to get another one. Heats fast and the steam is constant. I only use bottled distilled water and empty after using so it never spits out "stuff". Before the B & D, I had a Bernina that was wonderful. Again, I only used distilled and didn't leave water sitting in the iron. Would still have it except I dropped it on a tile floor. I learned my lesson using tap water with a Rowenta.

I gave $12 for my iron at Walmart 3yrs ago. Don't know when it will give out, but when it does, I will buy another one. It's great.

I would like to know about your travel irons. I did some research. Large price range similar to regular iron. memaw: do you like your Rowenta?
