Do a loop de loop from edge to edge with the loop being in the center of the hexies. But this being a special little girl, a handquilted quilt would be the way to go with the hand pieced quilt.

I had a few requests to machine quilt GMG. Yes, if you go that way, I would outline the with matching purple thread around the yellow hex and then stitch in the ditch and outline the outside of the purple flower. Yes, there will be stop and go. I would prefer that you do what others have said, make a card with the hint of things to come, maybe a picture of the quilt being hand quilted.
