Give Me the Dumbest Quilter Award

First, you have a bulky block which would probably take a larger needle - a brand new, sharp one. Next, remove both the bobbin and upper threads. Check for lint bunnies in the bobbin area and remove. Rethread everything - both top and bottom. Now, give it another try. Good luck. I keep a small pair of pliers - the kind used for beading - next to my machine in case of a stuck needle.
What a good tip Thanks!

Ok girls; I'l tell it------My DH bought me a new Janome Sewing Machine; I was so happy just sewing and pieceing away and away and all of a sudden-----I looked up and my bottom thread was a confetteeeee messsss; I spent a few hours trying to figure what was going on and still couldn't figure it out. My DH came home from work and he looked at it and said don't know(and He knows sewing machines). So, the next day we took it back to the dealership and the man there (a sewing machine repairman) opened the case and said: Look Here--Here is your problem: The top thread regulator was off a few degrees. Talk about feeling dumb; Evidently--reaching over the machine I inadvertedtly moved the thread regulator control with my sleeve some how. Well; NOW- that is the first thing I check. We all have those days. It's nice to be a member of a swell bunch of people. I love it......Hope you all have less complicated days.

Lol and definitely sounds like some of my quilting experiences. When I teach quilting I can always tell people what "not" to do because I have probably done it at one time. It's good to laugh at yourself and keep on keeping on!

No wonder quilters get along so well. We can always understand your pain and then laugh along with you, because we all have done the same thing or something similar. Hang in there girl it will all come out right in the end. LOL
