You are not alone!! I am like that about most any gift, LOL. I can keep a secret now, but it's not easy!!

I love giving them also, I have been disappointed in peoples
enthusiasm, which made it hard. Plus I have had one person
that hers got stollen and was so afraid to tell me. It made
me sad, it was taken at a Laundra Mat, she just went next
door to the drug store for a min. she came back it was gone
right out of the washing machine. Can't believe someone would do that. It was a king size log cabin.

I wrap them and label them so I am not too tempted to give it before I meant to. Doesn't always work, but I know that person will love to get it "under the tree" so I try not to take that away from them. It is about them.

My mom was never pleased with any gift. I think now she was just depressed. Sometimes you have to take joy in the fun you had making it for that person and giving it. So sad.

My MIL never appreciated any gifts until we went together and got her a new TV then she cried.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that was going to hi-jack this thread. I LOVE your NEWFIE!! My DSIL & DBIL raise those gorgeous dogs and had a litter of ten. They're down to two puppies left. They live in Lancaster, PA.

I know what you mean! I have been sewing like crazy here and have 11 quilts (8 twin/ 3 queen size) for family members this year. It is making me an absolute basketcase trying to keep my mouth shut! Especially the ones for my inlaws. My Partner's grandmother was the only quilter in their family. She died 2.5 yrs ago. I made a queen size triple irish chain in all batiks for her daughter that lived with her until the end, to give her a quilt that she could use to cuddle up with her mother's dog and not have to worry about ruining one of her mother's precious works. My FIL and MIL already fight over who gets what from me when it comes to knitting (they literally steal socks I've knitted from each other, then call me to complain LMAO)
AGH!! Sorry! See?? It's making me nuts not giving them, or at least "telling" about them!
Sorcha, who only has 2 quilts left to bind!

I'm so sorry about your bandit. Great pyrenease are also wonderful. Most big dogs like my Newfie are just big Teddy bears. I chose not to breed my Newfie because I would never have been able to part with her puppies. Could you imagine a house full, hahaha.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has trouble waiting to give a gift. It's nice to hear everyone else tell how they too go crazy waiting. I feel like I spend enough time with it when hand stitching the back of the binding, so when the last stitch is done, I want to jump up, yell Done!! Then give it to the recipient so they can tell me how much they love it! They probably wouldn't like it at all it it was 3:00am when I finished hahahaha

I give them when they are finished. I just tell them "here's your Christmas present." :D I can't wait either.
