I've just been to pick up a Singer 201! I bought a Featherweight a while ago and love using it, so have been looking for a 201 for free motion quilting, having given up on my temperamental modern machine. It's taken a while, but now I have a 1950 model in beautiful condition. So heavy though! Once I've got it to my workroom in the attic, it won't be coming down again in a hurry. I see why Singer also made the Featherweight...

Ooooh, that's a lovely machine! :) Neither of mine is in very good shape - in fact, one of them really should be stripped and repainted, it's so poor. But, they sew beautifully - and soooooo quiet!
