Today was my sew day with my BFF and I had so much fun. I'm working on a tablerunner that is a free pattern from Moda called Sugar Cookies. It is all hexagons. I had to purchase the Marti Mitchell templates for $25 to make it! But it sure was fun. I just have to sew 3 rows together, add two borders, sandwich and quilt! But that will have to wait for a few days. My fibromyalgia is really horrible right now. Tomorrow is going to be a stay in bed all day kind of day. I'm so envious of others with fibro whose doctors will give them something for the pain. I just get NSAIDs. And sometimes they just aren't enough.

I'm so sorry that you have to deal with so much pain. It sounds like you had a great sewing day tho. You go ahead and relax tomorrow you deserve it.

I know just how you feel, we are never without pain it is just the degree that changes. I have had to learn to take things in small steps so i don't have that all day in bed day, with looking after my mum I can't afford to have a day of. somedays i only just function as it is.
    hope you feel better soon

I know it sounds like heresy, but in your situation I would consider switching doctors in order to get better pain meds!

Or maybe you could do what I did when my on-and-off back pain returned just after I had worked hard to get into better physical condition. I broke down and cried in the doctor's office. My only regret is that I didn't do it 20 years earlier!!!

I do think that women's pain is often underestimated by male doctors. Studies show that women experience pain more intensely than men.

I have to say Yeah for the sewing day and maybe it is time to find another doctor. Dealing with pain is not fun but sometimes you need to get out of pain to deal with the pain. Hope you have an amazing stay in bed day! Rent chic flix and relax!

Your sewing day sound slike it was wonderful. Can't wait to see your project.

If there is anything to help you with your pain it is beyond me why your MD will not give it. Please life is to short and there are too many quilts to make not to have the right meds if they are available. This is not right! So sorry.

There are older Drs. that think fibro is something you have to deal with. There is no reason to be in pain so bad you can't get out of bed. One thing that has helped me more then any meds was changing my diet. It took a while but I am nitrate and processed food free. No artificial anything. No lite or diet foods. Just whole food, diary, fruit, and lean meats. No sodas, Crystal Clear, or KoolAid, no jello, packaged puddings, deli meats, or frozen meals.
