We made dolls out of our old embroidered ones. I do take curtains and shower curtains apart tho and use them for various sewing needs -they are great quality and cheaper than fabric yards.

My neighborbood has a charity sewing group and we have made a lot of these dresses. They are easy and fun but when the word got out we were inundated with everyones left over scraps and trims etc. Still it is a lot of fun toget together and sew.

By the time I toss my pillowcases out, there is enough fabric left to sew into a quilt.

I thought what a marvelous use of all those odd ones tucked in your linen cupboards for binding scrappy and other odd projects
How wide did you cut the binding?
    Thanks
As it was for at "thin" quilt I cut them 2.25" but I could have got nigh on the same amount if I have cut them my normal 2.3/8" as I had a fair size strip left.

What a super idea. Who would have thought. Well, of course that's you, lol. I'm going to move all my odd pillow cases to my sewing room too.
