Berta, I also have a MC 9000 that I absolutely love - however - I do not like it for FMQ. I kept getting loops on the back, also known as "whiskers". When I was at the VT Quilt Festival last year, I got to use a Bernina in class and must say that Bernina's do an excellent job on FMQ. I picked up a used Bernina after that. I will never give up my 9000; that machine does pretty much everything I need, but I use the Bernina for FMQ. Even a low end model Bernina, like the 150 series does a great job with FMQ.

Mind my asking what your Bernina cost?I'm scared to ask for another machine right now because DH is getting me the Accuquilt Go for Christmas.In Fact I get to order it this week!And my Janome was over 2,000.00 :shock: But it embroiderys and I didn't like the way it embroideried and all you had to go through to do it.So he bought me another Janome that only embroiderys and I love it!

But I would love to have another machine with different decorative desings.Any suggestions like for under 200.00?Or there about?

I have not thought to use it either and I have 6600P Janome. When I had the 8000. I used it for the applique and did not think to use it then either. Thank you for letting us be reminded.
Berta48 what is you Janome? My 8000 was not the best on embroidery either.

I have a Janome and I'm going to have to try that. I think it will be hard to give up my foot pedal.

I haven't heard of it but I love my Janomes.I just wish it had more decorative design stitches! I am looking for another kind that just sews so I can get some more decorative stitches. How much does this one cost ?( if you don't mind sharing)

I am told the Marie Osmond goes for about $1,399. but I am buying a floor model and getting it REAL reasonable. I know the store owner and the machine will be in good shape. Not sure when I will be getting it. Waiting for her to get it ready.

I have the smallest it is a Janome Memory Craft 9000.I had to use a hoop and a little thingy (I have forgotten what it is called I haven't used it for so long) anyway it was a setter I think.I had to line the fabric up with the X and it was a pain in my patooty!I LOVE my Janome 250 embroidery machine.Just wish I had purchased one with a bigger hoop.It has a 5x7.But I LOVE IT!

My Janome runs without a foot pedal if I remove it.SOOOOO I removed it and tried to stipple and it turned out GRRREAT!!!
I am so happy. Who would have thought it would help so much but it sure did work for me!!I also did some swirls.

Think I will try to come up with some designs of my own too, since there are no quilt police. :thumbup:

That is where I have been learning how to FMQ. She makes it look so easy but it's a differnt story when actually doing it. But I had to stop useing the start button couldn't stop when necessary. So I am still trying to practice.I just hate wasting all the batting and fabric :thumbdown:

I'll get it one of these days. In the meantime my ponce pad and stencils work really good :thumbup:

Sorry I haven't anyway to post photos sure wish I did!!!But I have found it easier to FMQ this.BUT I have a long way to go.The one I did was just a small wall hanging!

Try it and see what you think and let me know. It just seems I can keep my hands going better.Without the pedal. I just couldn't get them to work together.I have a knee pedal also but I have never used it and honestly I don't even know where it is?LOL :thumbdown:
