Unfortuantely, (or fortunately), one of the wally worlds close to me is closing the fabric department. They had all of it marked 50% off this past weekend. I cleaned up! I bought over 50 yrds! I am choosey about my fabric but I found some great material for making market bags and my kids picked out material for pillowcases. I also bought material for kitchen accessories. These types of things don't have to last forever, and won't, so I didn't want to spend a lot on them. Although I have to say that some of what I got felt really nice!

I got some too! here in Maine. The girls there told me our fabric department will be closing the next time they do a re-fit (6 months or so.) I don't get a lot there - but at $1.50 a yard - there is always room for more.

If you buy Walmart fabric that's been marked down it's usually a good buy. The stuff that they get in and is originally priced at 1 or 1.50 is usually poly blends and isn't very good quality.

Our WM quit selling fabric for two years and now they have two rows of it but it is like fat qtrs, jelly rolls, etc. prepackaged fabric. ANd notions of course. Not the same. Although their jelly rolls have 80 strips as opposed to the normal 42 like Moda, Fat qtr bundles are more too. SO good prices. I miss buying their solids for a dollar a yard. they came in handy for borders for my charity quilts. NOw about half of their stock is on sale for 25% off. Must not be selling good or just a good sale. LOL
