Exactly what I did last night. After having 5 days off work, I was exhausted after one day back! Must get back to sewing tonight.

I sew for a living, so some days, the last thing I want to look at or use is a sewing machine. Then the computer or a good book will occupy my evening. Piecing quilt blocks is totally different then the sewing I do for work tho (altering bridal gowns), so sometimes all I need is a break - like having supper and then I'm in my room and piecing away!

You really ARE a renaissance woman, aren't you??? My goodness! alterations! That! takes a lot of engineering!
I worked in a clothing factory (assembly line sewing), and you are correct - - stitching up a block is totally different than working in clothing. <wave>

Been there, done that!!! No guilt about it. My moods determine when I quilt and sometimes it's months before I start again.

Love the idea of a pillowcase in place of the actual quilt for Christmas. Maybe for their birthdays, you will have the quilt done.

Remember- this is supposed to be FUN !

I'm in between projects right now so decided to take a bit of time out. I've been in jammies for a few days now, watched the Star Wars movies over the weekend. It was fun for a change to not have "pressure" to finish projects. I just enjoyed relaxing. Now to get back to the drawing board. I hope you enjoyed your days off too!

Today I finally made a list of all the projects I need to finish before Christmas. I felt better, but did I start on them? Nope! Here I am, reading posts on this board instead. I am hopeless. Maybe just trim down my list instead.

I get somewhat like that sometimes. I hate to start something new late in the day. So I do handwork while I watch TV.

I went to the sewing room tonight with huge goals in mind. I straighted up a bit, cut a few squares.... and fell asleep in my chair! Must be the weather!
