No place to put another machine in this house except maybe to set it in front of the toidy which DH is expecting any day now. Needed new belt, cleaning, greasing and oil and the treadle foot plate was broke but figured it could be welded. Open the top and had cable that pulled the machine up and held it. Beautiful ol machine. Hope she gets a good home. Turn the wheel and needle went up and down. No major rust going on. Sadly, I turned and walked away. About as hard as leaving one of my furbabies at the vet.

I'm so machine poor also, that I have passed up 3 machines in the ol wooden round top cases, 2 where the crinkle finish one was nice and shinny. Oh well I'm sure they will find a good home as will the treadle you passed on.

I didn't walk away from one and now I have a machine in my dressing room, so it's almost in the bathroom. It is being rehomed when its new owners pick it up. At least I saved her. She will be displayed at the local LQS that sells Janomes - she is an 1895 New Home, which is Janome's predecssor.

You are wise to have walked away so you don't end up where I am.
