Great idea - - and now on my shopping list. :-) I have a small plastic drawer where I keep all my needles in but sometimes when you just broke a needle and frustration is looming - this seems great! Love this board!!

Why not buy a heavy piece of plastic and sew velcro on it to put on your machine. But you will need to sew the plastic into a little bag. and when sewing on the plastic use material or paper on both side,s just on the edges, for if you don,t the plastic will not slide

I just read about one of these about two days ago but can't remember where I saw it. Glad someone else remembered the name because i had forgotten about it already. I keep my needle in a drawer of my sewing machine cabinet.

I don't know the notion you speak of, but I can sure relate to that black hole!! We live in a 31' old motorhome with no pull-outs. I am presently trying to find a bottle with 80 fabric leaves I had cut for a table runner I'm now trying to work on. Had to cut out more this morning. I know I just saw them less than a week ago! Argghh!! Hope you find your notion!!

Thanks for raising this topic. I didn't know it existed, and now I've ordered one on eBay.

It sounds like your handy item slipped into the same black hole that my favorite things keep finding. Sorry - I can't help.

I have one and it is handier that "duct tape" lol. I think I bought mine either at Hobby Lobby or at Hancocks, can't remember, but I think I will order a couple more for my featherweights.

Hey Peckish,

Like minds. I was just about to post the same idea until I read yours. I use sticky velcro to put the back piece of an empty needle case on my machine and take it off and hold it behind the needle to make it easier for me to see the hole. It is nice to have it so handy.

Neesie, Every time I see the photo your dog, I am charmed all over again. Is he/she a doxie?
