I can't imagine having a store with employees that do not know the products. Just saying round sharp blade should be enough for any of the sale staff to think, hey we have round blades in this section over here.

The first time I went to HF, and asked for carpet cutter blades the nice clerk sent me to the power saw blades dept. LOL I just wandered around until I found what I wanted. The clerk then told me that they wouldn't work if I was going to be using a power tool. She must have been use to men wanting everything to be POWER.

    To Grannie & Bellaboo,
To work in a store like Harbor Freight you are better off to not know anything about what they carry. They do not hire people for their brain power or knowledge.

Same with me--bought 5 pks and would have been quicker just tossing my money in garbage can!

I've bought many of these over the past three or four years and have never gotten a dud. They're always very sharp and last a long time (until that inevitable nick due to my carelessness). Maybe I've been lucky and have gotten good batches, but even if there was an occasional one that wasn't up to par I'd just toss it without a thought because of the price.

I have not had good luck with the blades from HF, darn. However, I have found other useful things such as magnetic bowls for holding bobbins, pins, etc. by the longarm frame, tool case tote with wheels for hauling my sewing machine to classes, etc. Caution: the HF store I go to has a very strong smell apparently emanating from some of their chemical products. I keep my time inside the store to a minimum.

They are in most of their stores in the carpet cutting section...They have many floor and carpet tools in the area...However I bought a lot of them and find they are not very good...I know many people rave about them but I have not been too happy with them...
