I live about 10 minutes away, and go there when I need a specific color fabric, or a novelty print. The prices actually depend on when the fabric came into the store. If it's been there for 10-15 years, it might be $3.99. If it came in last week, it'll be more like $9.99. I get a kick out of the portapotty next to the front porch, and the UPS deliveries stacked up on the front porch. I'm positive that the delivery man can't get them in.

Obies is someplace you need to experience. I bring a small
l flashlight because sounds parts of the store are dark. They have old fabric and get new stuff too. Enjoy your trip

Make sure you have insurance! And if you have a little folding Ott light that Joann's sells, bring it for color matching. It's fun, you can spend a good deal of time there. And the sales lady knows just where things are, and will pull out a bolt for you. It's like a historic treasure, you'd be sorry if you missed it.
