My sis and I have an Etsy shop. We haven't sold a lot, but more than we would have without it. The listing fees are low but there is a percentage charges when something sells. Then there is paypal fees.

I buy all my Moda fabric on ETSY. Never have been disappointed. My daughter has a shop on ETSY, but hasn't sold anything that I know of. She makes jewelry.

can't sell for more than $4.00 here but haven't tried Esty. One day I hope to have the time to do so.

I have bought fabric from Etsy, but only when I've already seen the fabric and can't find it anywhere else. So I know what the quality is before I order. I've bought paintings/prints too and have not been disappointed. My problem is that I have to trudge through a ton of stuff to find what I want. I need to narrow my search more.

I believe she needs to reach the level of Senior Member to be able to sell here on the board. Selling your stuff on eBay is like selling it at a garage sale. People who buy (including me) are looking for bargains. I believe that Esty buyers are looking more for finished product. My friend has had better luck selling on Esty then on eBay.

There is some great stuff on Etsy, often at crazy giveaway prices, lots of competition. I bought some lovely homemade cards that were beautifully handpainted. I also bought some material. Both items were perfect. If you look at feedback ( much like on ebay) you ought to be able to see how well they do on quilted items. I have not tried myself.

I would try selling here on the QB before trying to sell on Etsy. There is SOOOO much fabric listed that it would be hard to get people to see it and to buy it. Seems like fabric is always being bought on this Board. Good Luck!!!!!

I have sold on Etsy, both fabric/supplies and finished items. If you are not going to put a lot of time into it, it may not be successful. You need to work at it to get noticed on Etsy.
