    Yep, did that not too long ago. I wasn't even using an extension cord. The cord had come unplugged from the machine unbeknownst to me :roll:

    This happened to dh yesterday with the iron. He was pressing the backing for his wall quilt. He asked "How do you turn on this iron?" I asked, "Did you turn it to 3 or 4?" "Yes and it is plugged in to the power strip and the power strip is plugged into the wall." Ooops, I forgot to tell him I had turned off the power strip since nothing was plugged into it and it was on wasting electricity. lol.

    what's odd is I never unplug from machine unless moving it.
    it hasn't been moves since being put there.

    We spend so much money for our machines, wouldn't you think they could turn themselves on instantly when touched?? Maybe in the next generation someone will invent that little extra part!!
