People get attached to there stuff and don't really want to part with it.
If she wanted aprons she should make them herself.

    I would have left also.

Makes me wonder if she just wasn't lonely and this was a way to meet/see people - very odd though . You are more patient than I would have been

She sounds a bit manipulative. She would sell the fabric to you if you made aprons for her from the fabric??? I would have walked out too!

What a pain in the neck! Sellers really need to be honest about what they have to sell - esp. if they are making appointments for folks to come over. I went to buy 100% cotton fabrics from a woman who was closing her business. When I got there - there wasn't much left and it was all cotton/poly kinda seersucker fabric. I had driven an hour to get there. She was on the phone while I looked at what she had. And I left her on the phone as I got back in my car in disgust. Just be truthful - for heaven's sake!

You're a better woman than I am. My mouth would have gotten away from me, I'm sure. Rude doesn't even cover it. Sorry you wasted your time and money. The fabric probably had bugs in it anyway! LOL

That was one strange lady, how do you sell something to someone and then tell them what they will do with the material? I'd have done the same thing as you only it wouldn't have taken me the hour to leave, I think you showed a great deal of patience - its too bad for her now she probably will never get rid of the fabric.

I think I would have walked out a lot sooner.

I think the fabric looked much better to her after you seemed to be interested in it. It was totally tacky to start sorting it after got there, though.

Something sort of like that happened to me a while back - this lady said she had LOTS of scraps - what she had was about the size of a box of copier paper - and THEN she wanted to divide it up between me and her church group.

There was maybe one or two yards - total - of fabric suitable for my purposes. Ah, well.
