Because of my lessened vision, I just recently purchase the BlockLoc for HST and 2 for Flying Geese. Used the HST one and what a great ruler it is. Such a time saver, too. Yes, they were spendy, but if they are used, it's worth the $$$. Thanks for sharing your witty creation with the tape. When in need, we must be creative.

Sharon, I would love to hear about the flying geese rulers. I've only made geese one time now and the trimming process was tedious. I also found out in that process that the Quilt in a Day flying geese ruler I was using was a little over 1/16 of an inch too narrow--very frustrating because I had bought the ruler well over 2 years ago so it isn't like I can return it. The Bloc-Loc ruler would be so easy because the ruler would loc into place every time so you don't have to make sure the line of the ruler is where it is supposed to be (bad eyes as well). The real problem is deciding what sizes to buy. I have 2 quilts that I want to make sometime in the future that use 2x4, 3x6 and then an odd size like 1.75 x3 or something--I don't think there was a ruler for that size.
