Bob the Thread Guy from Superior threads says putting in the freezer would just dehydrate it more. I have his video on thread and it has so much good information on thread and how to use it. I believe he said the problem could be the needle your are using.

This has been a really interesting thread. You ladies have soooo many good do's and don'ts for us. Thank you all for sharing so we can all learn different "stuff".

Ghostrider, you just gave me the "a ha" moment. I think that's what my problem may be. Now I'm beginning to understand the relationship between needle size & thread. Good thing I recently purchased a good magnifying glass to really check things out.
