It's a Dry Iron...no steam to deal with and no holes on the sole plate. I always had trouble with points or seam intersections getting caught in the holes on my old steam iron and I rarely used the steam anyway.

I've had this a couple of weeks now and really like it. No auto shutoff feature, which I like. I keep it plugged into a surge surge protector along with a lamp to remember to turn them both off when I'm done. It does have an "off" position but I never quite trust those switches.

It's nice and heavy but somewhat smaller than my other iron, which I like. It gets plenty hot at the cotton setting, but I haven't yet used the lower settings. I've already gotten fusible goo on it and it cleaned up nicely.

Unfortunately, it's made in China, but what isn't nowadays? I don't like that aspect but otherwise like the iron.

I got it from Vermont Country Store for $29.99 plus shipping (can't recall how much shipping cost). Here's a link: http://www.vermontcountrystore.com/p...l?evar3=search

$29.95 seems very reasonable. It sure is a cute little bugger!

I have that same iron and got it from the same place and love it. Have used it for the last 5 years with no problems at all. It's much better than those high priced irons, which I have tried.

I have had 2 of these both of which were returned. I cant remember exactly why, but I think it was because they stopped functioning. No problem with them returning my $

Home Depot use to have no hole no steam irons. I haven't seen them there in a long time but some Home Depots may still have them. I remember the price was $39.99, about the same probably if you have to pay shipping to order it. I don't remember if it had a brand name on it. These irons are best for fusible too. No hole spots to not get evenly heated and no hole impressions left.

Home Depot has them on their website for $28 plus shipping, it's the same brand as the Vermont store so check with a Home depot store and maybe get one sent to the store for pickup with free shipping? Wouldn't hurt to ask.
