While I think this is a great gift and would be thrilled if my DH came home with it, I know other quilters who would NOT. When I purchased a treadle awhile back, some of my guild members asked "Why would you want one?"

I hope that the wife is thrilled and will cherrish the 99. It is a beautiful vintage machine. He is a keeper for a DH.

99's can go for up to $100-150 by me depending on condition....I'd love for my DH to come home with one tucked under his arm!
