You are in for the ride of your life! My first quilt was a pinwheel and I had no idea what I was doing! Sure, I made some mistakes, but the final product brought much joy to its recipient, my eldest daughter, Krista. She still uses it after all these years! Go for it and keep us posted along your journey!

Step 1. Boyfriend brought home a table from work that I can use in the guest bedroom as a quilting table. Brought up the sewing machine that was in the basement.
Step 2. Ordered, a rotary cutting tool, gridded self-healing cutting pad, big ruler, triangle ruler, one block wonder book ($65 total) on Amazon

I am now just waiting for everything to arrive so I can set up the quilting room

What size triangles do you think I should use?

Also I think I found the exact material used by the person who created my inspiration quilt

Do you guys think this would look better than the original fabric i picked out?
I think this fabric would give you more variation of color then in the fabric you had in your original post. Good luck.

Hey I've looked for a one block wonder tutorial on her page, but haven't found it. If you know it is there, could you provide the link?
