There is a replacement for the BiRangle ruler.

This site has the best price that I could find. This ruler is supposed to take the place of several rulers.

Great idea, but the rectangle is to be cut from a two-color strip with the (angle ) running straight up/down the strip seam. Then you trim, turn and trim the other side to form the correct Bi-rectangle.... sorry, I can't say it any better.

Can't say for sure...have one, haven't used it. The quick rundown is cut bias strips to piece in pairs...then place ruler on strip set by lining up diagonal line on BiRangle over seam line of strip set...rotary cut around 2 sides and rotate ruler to cut around remaining 2 sides. So like squaring up a hst. There is a slight offset...if you have a set of TriRecs look at the skinny one of the two rulers...it could do the same thing, I think. Haven't used either, truthfully, but wish I had before I made so many blocks that would have worked better with either one...it's that little offset/tipclip that makes it so much easier to keep it true. If there's a method that gets me to the right size, I'll use whichever one is the easiest to attain accuracy...if it means another ruler, well, it might be worth it to avoid the aggravation/frustration of frog stitchin'.
 Egggsactly :) I am so frustrated.

This ruler fits on a sheet of copy paper. Print out picture of it to size and use a ruler to lay on the cutting edge.

I have that book too and there is a quilt in it I want to make (jiggle and jump) and also do not have the birangle ruler. I plan on drafting the unit on paper and then using my regular ruler that has several angles on it to figure out which angle it is. I think it is 60 degrees for going one way and 30 for the other but not positive until I draft it.
