If you don't have time to make anything how about diapers, diapers, diapers!! This is the thing to do now, gift the mom to be with diapers they can never have enough!!!

I remember when I was a senior in college (1974) I had a girl in my class who was already married. One day in class while working in small groups I noticed her jeans were pinned at the top. This girl was rail thin and I thought it was strange. Later in class during group sharing she announced she was pregnant and due within a month!! Where did she hide the baby?? I've never been able to understand 1) women who don't show, 2) women who don't know they are pregnant!

As a mommy I would suggest making a diaper/wipe case holder. there was a fab tut on here for one that I modified for myself. You can make those up in a hour or so if you don't have distractions. I have made two in two days but I have limited sewing time and two kids under 5. I hope I also second making a changing blanket for the baby to have in the car. I have one and I love it. And you can also make a car storage box. connecting threads has a great pattern for one that I just made up. you could probably make your own pattern for one if you are supper tight on the time frame. I wish that I had had one a few years ago when I had my first baby. would have helped to keep the car cleaner.

If you have an embroidery machine you could put some cute designs on onesies. Flannel receiving blankets & bibs are great too.
