Do quilts always need a an inner and outer border or any border at all? What would determine that?

I know there are more, but I don't know them . fat 1/4?, fat 1/8?, list some of the tips from a thread the other day, list where freebies are available, to get them started, tell them about this quilting board, 1/4 inch seam or scant 1/4 in.seam, how scant is scant? I'd also like a copy of book. good luck! You have some good ideas brought up here.

What is the best way to spray adhesive and sandwich a quilt when there is only one person doing the spraying and smoothing?
