Help! I'm stumped! Re: quilting Tumbling Blocks.

:hunf: Hate to be the stickler here, but I would quilt it with the walking foot diagonally, through the blocks corner to corner. The colors of the quilt are vibrant enough that the quilting will help them pop and be allot easier to manage. And I wouldn't do too much quilting if it's going to be a quilt for a child. You want it puffy and soft, so maybe only every six inches.
Good luck! Love your quilt!

Your top is beautiful. Keep up the great work. I use gray thread to do most of my quilting. It does not show up and lets the colors do thier jobs. Yet it does give the dimention the quilt needs to look beautiful. The walking foot is great for doing the straight lines. You don't have to do every row. Just take time to look and see if you want to do every row after you have done what needs to be done.

Thanks SO much everyone for all your compliments. We work so hard on these things and put so much of ourselves into them - it warms the heart when people are so kind and affirming!

I love the quilt but I must offer my two cents. I just talked with my quilter, yes I send some of my quilts out to be quilted, and she mentioned that she won't quilt with the clear thread. I guess after a fair amount of use it can split the material at the point of stitching. After doing a beautiful job on the quilt I would hate to think of it getting split by quilting thread. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
