Hi everyone. I got enough fabric cut for 2 bow tuck bags. I DID start sewing on one of them. So far I have the bottom piece sewed to both the front and the back, the outside pocket sewn but not attached. And thats as far as I've gotten. BUT..tomorrow ( Tuesday) my friend is coming to pick me up and is taking me to sewing club and one of the ladies has told me she will help me make it and so...hopefully, Tomorrow I may have my first bow tuck bag made.

How did it go? Are you addicted to making them now?

Well today.....I went to my sewing group and one of the ladies helped me figure out how to make my first Bow Tuck...Its not done yet but almost. I just need to make the handles and square the corners and turn it rightside out. I think I might be addicted. Cant wait to finish this one so I can make more.

Yep, you're addicted. I can tell by your voice. They are really pretty bags.

I have probably made 50 or so bowtucks....in many different variations. I have also used regular batting and it works pretty well, but have found that you really need to quilt closer than you normally would in order to get the stiffness needed for the bag to stand up on it's own (lining too).
