Whatever you decide, the quilt is fantastic! If you decide to fmq, practice on something for a while till you feel comfortable with doing it.I practice some before each new quilting session to loosen up!

I just love your quilt & you did a wonderful job on it. It's beautiful.

For the FMQ or meandering, when I do it, I start at the top left and work to the far right dropping down to the next row so to speak, not really stopping but carrying it on. That goes from the right working to the left. That drops down to the 3rd row, working back to the right. Just think of the shape of jigsaw puzzle pieces, not really showing where you start or stop. I hope this helps and is clear. I'm not real good at explaining in words.

What a wonderful quilt. I don't know anything about FMQ, but deciding on a stitching pattern for a quilt is the hardest thing I do. Any help for hand quilters?

When you stipple all over you do not pay any attention to the quilt pattern just fill in the space.

you should work from the middle out.

thanks all of you.
I never did an allover pattern and I am afraid of...........well everything  loosing overview, trapping eareas where I cant go back or destroying the effect of the pyramids by meandering over!?
Do you know any good sites about FMQ. I only know this 365 patterns site and that lady always makes just a little patch.

Would it be an idea to make something just into the solid part of the flat pinwheel to make the printed one stick more out and doing something little on the frames around the angles and then again on the yellow/green border? to start with....

I just have to work this afternoon and then my weekend starts. Cant wait to get to the sewingmachine
