This is a UFO's from 2008. It is a LQS BOM. I finished the blocks I had, but have no matching fabric for finishing except the cornerstones. The yellow fabric is 100% cotton and the blue feels like is a blend of cotton/poly.

Which looks the best to you? I am trying to use stash fabric. I have enough of both for sashing boarders and binding. I will use the yellow for backing.

    All ideas welcome.
    Thanks,
    Tin

Blue, since you are using yellow on the back.

So far it is 6 blue and 4 yellow. Thank you for your quick responses. Think I will wait to see if there any more and what they are.

#1. The blue sets off the quilt perfectly with the yellow corner coins. IT MAKES ALL THE BLOCKS SHINE

I like the yellow, but would say blue since you are using yellow on back.

#1 - I vote for the blue too. It sets off the colors much nicer...IMHO. And as someone else said...since you are using yellow for the backing.

To my eye, the blue frames the blocks and draws you in, whereas the yellow just doesn't have the same sense of completion to it. If you use the yellow I would be sure to use the blue for binding.

If I were you, I'd use one color as a narrow sash (finished width 1/2" or less) and the other as the wider sash that you've already planned. I don't think it'll matter which color is used for which purpose, but I'm sure the overall effect will be much more stunning than anything you can achieve using only one fabric.

Just my humble opinion, of course.

Love this idea but I would use the blue as the sash closest to the blocks - makes them "pop" to me. just my 2 cents
