whoa. i like what i see so far, will be doing more studying on this one. i too was considering a bailey. a lot of great things said about them. but the lure of a 22" machine in that price range is extremely tempting. may need to take a road trip to a show and see one in person.

I read through this blogging question and read all you guys have had to say. I was looking for reviews to use when I list my machine for sale. I have the 19" long arm that does not have the computer option or the stitch regulator option. I purchased it used from a craigslist post. I was delighted when I went to pick it up and found that it belonged to the wife of a relative that I had never met before. It ended up belonging to my mother's cousin's son's wife .... lol ... but seriously this is why I am thinking about selling it. When I bought it Beaver sent it in to be serviced so it would be top notch for me. When the company had the machine I decided to upgrade the motor and lighting and whatever else was "outdated" for the machines they were selling in 2011. I spent nearly $400 to have all those upgrades. It was delivered on a Thursday and on the following Tuesday I had to have an extensive rotators cuff surgery followed by physical therapy. Before I could finish PT I fail twice and PT was put on hold. Then while I was mending my husband was rushed to the hospital thinking he had appendicitis ... to find out he had colon cancer. I have NEVER got to use this machine. I wanted to upgrade the railing system on the frame also so I paid to have all of that upgraded too and it was another $400 plus expense, but it did not come with the poles. We haven't been able to find the poles locally but we can order what we need. My husband is still being treated for cancer and it just hasn't been possible to learn how to sew on this machine so I had it put up in storage. Now I am thinking about selling it. But with having read your review I think I may try once more to use this machine if I can find the poles I need for it. Do you have the 3 rail system or just the 2 rail system? and any pointers you can give me on why the thread might now pick up the bobbin thread when quilting would be helpful. 2 or 3 times I turned the machine on just to practice and the thread just would not lift the bobbin thread sufficiently to do much of the practice. I figured it was timing but had no idea what to do to fix it. I will say that I too find the owner very helpful and very willing to assist but we haven't followed through due to illness. I am so thankful I found this blog.
