Maybe a red or bright yellow center is all it needs. :-)

Hey, blah is good too. I'd leave it as it is.

As others have mentioned, I also think that the colours are a bit unbalanced! Darks are left and right, all the cream/tan fabrics on the top. I don't think you'll need to mix in other colours such as yellow or red though.

I, too, like the idea of using a soft yellow fabric for the center circle. Very good.

Of course, it could be totally random. Some people really like that.

But if the poster is asking for comments on why it doesn't seem quite right to her, analysis is as useful an approach as any. Small changes in placement or color mix can make a huge difference, and one of the comments here might trigger it for her.

    I like it.
the only thing I would add is a pop of color in the center.

I think the colors are really pretty. To my eye the problem lies in the layout. All of the blues and purples are on the bottom and the tans and oranges are on the top. I think they should be mixed up a bit and that would solve the problem.

I think the yellow center will fix the issue...but you could also use a red cornerstone with some sashing between the blocks.

It is scrappy and it is balanced with darks and lights. Maybe try various colors of the center circle to see if that improves what you are not seeing.
