But this opinion might be my ocd showing.
I tend to agree with these two nice ladies....
    Whoops, only Bear's showed up.

I have bought many vintage Dresden Plate quilts. The one thing that I notice is if the color value is the same in all the plates. This plate of yours is very quiet, very mellow looking. If your other plates are the same value, then it's OK. But if they have bright and colorful sections, then this will stand out. My opinion only based on what I have.

Your piecing is beautiful. As for the colors, individually there are some very nice fabrics in this, but in their current combination none of the fabrics gets to "show off". There are just too may different colors and patterns. The eye has nowhere to rest. I would suggest you pull out the fabrics with purple, select a complimentary color and alternate them. I think you will see that the "blah" goes away. Good luck and please show us what you decided.

Seems like the blues are too bunched but if this is only one in a whole quilt it will never show. A red center might bring it all together. Very nice job!

Try using the brighter color you want to add as the center,a light, bright pink comes to mind.

I agree with geri, imbalance somewhere ...darker on lower right side , remove one dark put in neutral. add yellow center and good to go
