I could also see myself doing that. Maybe I'll make an "outrageous" quilt transporter that stands out.

Did you stop anywhere else that day that you might have placed the bag with something else you dropped off? I hope you find it. Right where you left it. Somewhere you put it so you wouldn't accidently throw it away? And forgot that you had moved it? Hugs!

Please don't beat yourself up, the quilt could be in a safe place somewhere - meaning it's in an obvious place that you have probably looked over a dozen times. Take a deep breath, take a step back and I'm sure when you stop looking you will find it. We once threw out a black garbage bag full of Christmas toys and gifts - yes - black, so the kids couldn't see through it. Not a great idea, but I'm sure we have all done something similar. You're not stupid - just too many things on your plate so you don't always focus. It will turn up.

I had my Walkman in a plastic bag in the truck. One day I loaded a bunch of bags of donations to go to the Thrift store ... yeah, you know where this is going, right?

That's exactly why I bought a BOX of 50, clear large bags! They are used for anything that needs to be seen!!!

Me too. I donated several things to a local goodwill store. I had the young man to unload it for me. Of course he also unloaded my cane , some couch pillows I had just bought and something else, I just can't remember. I lived over 35 miles from the goodwill store and just had to chalk it up to my own carelessness. But I did learn a lesson. Sorry for your loss. You'rs is much more valuable than mine. Hope ya find it.

So sorry this happened. I just recently lost something, that I had put away for safe keeping. Went to where I was sure I had put it, but not there....was away from home and don't know if I tossed it or just hid it so well that I can't find it!

I will say a prayer that you didn't toss it and that it is just hiding someplace.

Interestingly enough, I just finished a quilt and am taking it to our DS's with me for the long weekend hoping to bind it. I was just saying to DH that needed a plastic crate or garbage bag to put it in...guess what!? No garbage bag for me...I will use a clear storage tote!
