I do the same, I have also just discovered that using black for a 1 to 1 1/2" inside border can really make it popOriginally Posted by LivelyLady

On the selvedge, there are coloured dots with numbers. I match fabric with these colours.
Love your avatar, you must be a nice Irish girl.
Is it you own pattern?

I've been trying to use fabrics from my stash if at all possible so I just start grabbing fabrics and place them next to each other till I find a combination I like. Then I have to put up all the ones that didn't quite work. Lol!

This is one of my biggest challenges. I spend the most time looking through fabrics. I usually start with my own then check several stores to see who has something I like, but I can spend hours looking.
